Around 12,000 objectsfrom the Federal Art Collection are housed in the depots at the Bern Collection Center, where they are under curatorial care. Temporary loans for special exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad are effected regularly.
Almost 8000 works from the Swiss Federal Art Collection are on permanent loan to Swiss Museums.
Some 2500 works of art adorn the official rooms of the Parliament, the Federal Administration and Swiss diplomatic missions abroad.
